Why we use silicone
All oogaa feeding range products are BPA free and tested to comply with the most stringent European safety standards.
High-quality silicone will not support the growth of fungus, mould or bacteria. It is odourless and tasteless, microwave safe, dishwasher safe and heat resistant up to 260 C (+500 F) and freezer safe to -40 C (-40 F).
Unlike cheap, mass-market plastic products, oogaa’s silicone feeding products will not corrode or deteriorate and will not leach chemicals into your baby’s growing body.
Reduce, reuse, recycle
According to the Polymeric Materials Encyclopedia, “it is generally accepted… that silicone polymers have no known negative environmental impact.”
That’s why low taint, non-toxic silicone is used anywhere contact with food is required, particularly for bakeware in the kitchen.
At the end of their useful life, the same study showed that silicone products eventually break down into their base components of water, silicic acid, and carbon dioxide.
